I AMsterdam in snow

IMG_0532

Last weekend we went to Amsterdam. That was the first time I’ve ever been, so I had my expectations high. We got there there right in time for Lights Festival and snow storm. In fact, there were 4 of us, only 3 came back due to the stormy weather (Hi Paulo, how is Amsterdam treating you?).
I never realised the Netherlands has worse weather than the UK. Apparently it rains almost everyday (and I confirm it). It rains and snows and also sun shines, so it’s very unpredictable. One thing for sure- it’s cold in December.
I absolutely loved Amsterdam. Such a beautiful city. It’s got its charm and character. Very quirky, but also cozy at the same time. There is something for everyone. I attach pictures taken in the last 3 days, as you can see, we experienced every weather possible.

There are a few places I’d recommend to visit, but more than everything, just pack your luggage and go on a journey. Stay at a hostel, ask for local recommendations, they’re the best. That’s how we found The Avocado Show, Little Collins, The Cannibal Royal, some little bakery, the liquor tavern- wynand fockink. Plenty of cute places, breweries and museums. There is a street with only galleries. So cultural.

Definitely go to Amsterdam in 2018, friend.
