Walking the streets of London, I have noticed a little beginning of a trend, that we have met before, in 2013 for example. The chic and effortless (?) way of wearing your jacket. Basically it is no to wear one.
Let me start from the beginning!

Do you guys remember, when Balenciaga did that red winter jacket thing, when you weren’t covering your shoulders?
and so then we had fashion bloggers (not)wearing their jackets that same way, like Jemerced here, at New York Fashion Week, earlier this year:
I personally think, it’s a win win situation, where you look chic and you feel warm wrapped in the layers of your puffy shield. (Also, I am a fan of that Jemerced’s look, bravo!)
So we wore our garments this way in winter, then we’ve gone into summer showing off our shoulders even more! Why not, it’s sexy, romantic and classy. All at once. A little bit of skin, but not too much. As an example, I want to show you Nima Benati, Italian photographer, true #girlboss
Yup, that’s what I’m talking about girls!
Now, taking under consideration the weather here in London, you know you’ll need a jacket most of the time. But what I noticed is that women are skipping sleeves in favour of a slung-jacket look. ‘Just letting it be there, draped on their shoulders and guarding against the cold.‘ as Vouge.com said in 2013.
It has been done before, it has been around for ages, but I think it’s about time we call it ‘it’ trend of upcoming months.
