Dark Florals

This post isn’t about fashion. Title is to make you think, it’s another trend for autumn (yep it still is, but not the post though). It’s still about something pretty, but barely noticeable. When I go to work, I usually rush, go straight form A to B. Head busy thinking thoughts, worrying about things, paying attention to traffic. Every single day I walk the same way, just to discover, that there is something on my way, I never notice. Flowers. There’s so many roses.

I guess the purpose of this post is to remind you, that there are small things in life, that we easily ignore and take for granted. We need to make time to stop and appreciate those things. Breathe in for as long as it takes to read this line, breathe out for as long as it takes to read this line. See the sunshine outside your window? Feel how soft your sweater is? Smell how fresh air is?

If that’s too general, how about you sit where you’re seated and look around. Is it dark? Is it light? What’s the temperature? Is it nice and cozy? Or a little bit nippy? How does your shampoo smell on your hair? Can you hear anything? Is it a car passing by? Is it a bird? Is it a Deliveroo driver? Did he just bring you food? How does the food smell? Pretty comforting, right?

When we’re little kids, we find any interaction with world interesting. We indulge in the process of learning about things. We take notes. When we do it as adults, it forces our brain to focus on small things around us, that we can easily deal with. It’s worth trying, because without appreciation this world means little.

Notice, learn, appreciate.
