New Year, New Me.
I am planning to budget better, save some money and travel more. Times like this I like to look back on my spendings and see what was worth the money, what was a waste. It helps me to save the hussle in the future. For example, I know I will not buy alpaca, mohair wool bright red jumper again; it’s warm and beautiful, but I only worn it twice. Too expensive as for what it is. Red, for me, is reserved for lipsticks, dresses and shoes. I learned my lesson.
Now, things that I have purchased within last year, that were worth it. 100% recommend, random order:
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder- literally the best powder I have ever used. I bought it for the whole female part of family and would do it again and again. Tip- it’s much cheaper in England, than in Poland.
This foundation changed my view on coverage. It’s light in consistence but medium in coverage. Truth be told, it’s build-able, so for me it sometimes works as full coverage. I absolutely adore this little bottle of good looking skin.
Summer dress- I bought a few and I was really excited about them. Usually, I just wore black, black shorts and a tee. This summer I wore nice linen dresses and I will do it again and again. So for everyone out there wearing all black everything- it’s much cooler in a little white linen dress. Just saying.
Magda Butrym dress. I believe somebody from Selfridges staff made a mistake. Sale was from 1200.00 GBP (Over 6000 PLN) down to 75 GBP. As a staff member, I had some more discount, so I ended up paying less than I did for an Uber ride home. Pretty amazing.
Cheero power bank. I carry it in my bag literally every single day. It’s quite powerful, it charges my iPhone 5 times in full. Another plus- it looks adorable. Tip- buy it online, I got my on Amazon for around 35 GBP. Bargain.
Zofia Chylak bag. Polish designer. Amazing quality. Bespoke look. It is just beautiful. If my bank account as as friendly was I am, I would have bought every item from Chylak’s collection. My first purchase of 2018 will be the chain for my beloved bag. It’s out of stock now, but I’m on a waiting list. Want it so much!
John+ Pearl earrings, very cute and sparkly jewelery, adds that glam factor to every outfit.
Everything from Ordinary. Deciem created amazing line of simple but effective products. It’s cheap and it works. What else could I possibly want?
Havaianas flip flops in white. Comfy and practical, go well with every outfit I wear in London. Yay for comfort!
Adam Selman x Le Specs sunnies. The last Lolita. Very classy, yet very quirky. Turn heads. They seem to be very popular among influencers and bloggers. This didn’t stop me from enjoying them on my own.
Gabrielle Chanel, the new fragrance. Released in September, stole my heart. I cheated on Modemoiselle, that I had worn for 5 years. Since Autumn 2017, I have been wearing Gabrielle only. I’ve gone through 3 bottles already. I probably use it too much. Oh well, can’t stop me.
Wide leg trousers. My aim this year was to stop wearing skinny jeans and I did quite well. You can see me wear suit trousers or wide leg, flare, crop, but very rarely skinny. I did good 🙂
Saks Potts bag. I literally wanted anything from Saks Potts. I love their collection and could not say no to that PVC bag. I ordered one, got two, because girls are very nice. Both bags broke already, but having experienced Saks Potts customer service, I will but clothing items for sure. Recommend the brand defo.
Ganni t-shirt and &Other Stories jumper. Same story. Love Ganni as a brand so I got something cheap to check the quality. Love it so far, so I’ll be definitely buying their dresses for Summer 2018. Wool jumper is so adorable, so hugable, that I can’t even begin to say how happy I am with it.
Chanel Rouge Velvet limited edition lipstick. Matte, red and easy to wear. Simple as that.

Priming Moisturizer in Rich, Glossier. I have tried almost everything from Glossier and loved it. But after going through 3 tubes of Priming Moisturizer, I decided to give the rich one a go. Love at first sight really. Amazing fragrance (lavender), excellent consistency, perfect moisturize. Luxurious experience every morning. Yay for Glossier!
Technically I bought a full range of Glossier cosmetics. I have to say- I do not regret it. So if you are considering getting anything, give me a shout and I’ll try to help. Different products are for different people, skin types and needs. Just remember that.
iPhone X. Everyone told me not to get it. It’s too expensive, you have to get Apple Care blah blah. But I didn’t listen. I got it and it’s now my favourite phone of all times. Even my boyfriend, who doesn’t like Apple phones, said it was ok. Good enough for me. (FaceID is cool, but not when you’re wearing sunnies)
Glittery underwear for Christmas. Adorable. I like glitter.
Winter fluffy jacket. So warm and cozy. Everyone wants a hug. This coat is from Mango. And upsie, I’m wearing skinny jeans here. My excuse is that is’s my uniform at work.
I do have some things on mind, that I haven’t been able to buy this year. If I still want them in the New Year, I’ll get them and share pictures with you. Some of them include Gucci loafers, that everyone has. I want them, because I had very similar shoes, and I wore them everyday, until my mom took them from me haha. I know they’ll probably be quite old, and I should be getting Balenciaga heels, but who cares. I like them.
Anyways, that was my list of the best purchase of 2k17. I can trully recommend getting anything from that list and I know you won’t regret it.
