My birthday this year was incredible. Got woken up at 5.45 am and was told I needed to pack my luggage. And this is how we went to Bordeaux. I was not expecting that at all, I would have never suspected that and I believe that’s what made the trip even better. I won’t be bragging about all the things my beloved did for me (including that extra luggage, incredible Airbnb, amazing dinner, Happy Birthday balloons, coming together and planning everything behind my back). I am just speechless.
I will go ahead and upload some (plenty) of great pictures my sister took. Such a talented little lady!
here, carrying a 4 EUR bottle of red, delicious; also some freshly squeezed orange juice and Canele, that are originally from Bordeaux region
here stuffing my face with "white profiteroles", can you tell they were yummy?
and here we’re having some great coffee, basic
there is no real reason for this picture to be up here, but hey, it’s my blog and I can post whatever I like
some bloggers would say ‘essentials’ or ‘mood’, jokes, I’d say that too
when in Bordeaux, remember to try and speak French, even basic, but do try, people of Bordeaux will appreciate it
Bourbon Vanilla, Sesame, Blood Orange, Cottage Cheese
As this was a surprise trip, I didn’t prepare any looks, literally packed whatever dried in time for trip.
No 1 light packing (funny that, coming from me) tip:
Pack basics, white tee/shirt and darker bottoms, wear trainers on a plane, take sandals with you, one crossbody bag is enough and a canvas tote to carry travel essentials and a camera.
No 1 travel rule (in my opinion):
Learn/revise the language of the country you’re going to. Even if just a little, people will appreciate you tried. I mean, you should have seen me speak French.Disgraceful but adorable silly blond Polish lady, putting on fake French accent. Priceless.
This is it. Next post from Bordeaux coming up soon. Stay tuned.
